A Pleasant Stop to Phi Phi Islands

Bamboo Island is one of these numerous dream islands scattered around the Phang Nga Bay in southern Thailand. It is located very close to a much more famous duo of islands, Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Leh.

From Krabi, it is often when going to the Phi Phi Islands that you will stop at Bamboo Island for a little while. Its many attraction is definitely the amazingly large patch of white thin sand where all the visitors like to play and relax.

If you are craving for some quiet and alone time, you will need to walk away from the main beach, like shown in the virtual tour above. The shore becomes more rocky but the sea is still incredibly turquoise. And there are much less people.

As you can see in the thirst panorama, the proximity with the wild island of Koh Yung plus the emprty shores of Bamboo Island make you feel like an explorer, even though you are on a very touristic island. Often, you don’t need to walk very far to escape the crowds.
