All it takes is one jump and your life is changed forever as you are going to experience a thrill and an adrenaline rush I can only describe as out of this world. But whether you jump or not is totally up to you. You can decide to dive off and experience something entirely out of this world. On the other hand, you can climb back down. And then hope that your friends don’t laugh at you…too much.
If you decide to take the ‘leap of faith’, you need not fear for your life since that stretchy industrial-grade bungee cord attached to your ankle will prevent you from crashing into the ground. Of course, there will still be some element of fear despite knowing you are safe and seeing other people make the jump. And that’s what bungee jumping is all about – jumping in the face of fear.
The few seconds of freefall are the highlight of bungee jumping. Then comes another awesome experience called “the rebound” which occurs when the cord reaches its maximum length and pulls back towards the heavens. And when the rebound happens, you’ll either be laughing or giggling like mad as you realize you are safe and that the jump is over.
Bungee jumping is rapidly increasing in popularity and there are about a dozen or so bungee jumping destinations in the United States. This article focused on places you can bungee jump in Iowa. There are currently no bungee jumping destinations in Iowa. If this changes, I’ll update this article accordingly. Your best bet is to visit neighboring states where bungee jumping is available or try other adventure sports in Iowa.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any bungee jumping destination in Iowa – and there isn’t any in the neighboring states either. The next best thing to bungee jumping is probably skydiving, and this sport is available in Iowa! Along with skydiving, Iowa has a whole variety of outdoor and adrenaline sports to offer. For bungee jumping, I’m afraid you will need to travel to other parts of the country.
