One of Yoda’s famous quotes is “do or do not, there is no try.” This quote applies to several things in life and bungee jumping is no exception. There is no try in bungee jumping. And when you are called up for your jump, it’s either you muster the courage to dive headfirst or go home. There is no try!
People intending to bungee jump have several questions and one of their most common questions is just how scary the activity is. And the answer to this question depends on each individual. Some people are risk takers, daredevils who live for extreme sports. And for this set of people, bungee jumping won’t be that scary. But if you have a fear of heights and aren’t the adventure junkie type, the experience will be scary for you and that applies to only the first time.
Bungee jumping isn’t about being fearless. It’s about jumping in the face of fear and stretching the limits of fun for the singular purpose of having fun. Yes, there is a unique type of thrill and fun that you get only from bungee jumping. The adrenaline rush is almost addictive and you may find yourself jumping a couple of times after your initial jump.
