Nice Immersion In The Countryside

Don’t really know what to do during your stay in Luang Prabang? I understand you, just enter any travel agency and you will have a wide range of options to fill your days with wonderful experiences.

One nice way to spend the day is to go for a trek through the countryside that will take you to the beautiful Tad Sae Waterfall. Along with Kuang Si, it is one of the most frequently visited waterfalls around Luang Prabang.

You will first be taken to the bank of the Nam Khan River that you will cross on a small boat, to arrive at the village of Ban Suan. That’s one of the interesting aspects of this trek. The trail crosses villages, teak and rubber plantations. It gives a good insight of the life of the Lao people in rural areas.

You might be wondering if the trek is easy or challenging. Well, it all depends on your level of fitness but I would say it is an easy trek with a few slopes to climb and the heat makes things a little more difficult. But if you are reasonably fit, you will be able to complete the hike without great difficulty.

At some point of the trek, you will enter the rainforest and soon enough you will catch sight of the mesmerizing milky turquoise waters elegantly cascading under the trees. I was quite surprised to see that they actually built a whole wooden deck for people to enjoy a natural swimming pool.

After a long walk under the heat, the inviting water is most welcome! A very pretty place to relax and a nice reward for you hiking efforts.
